Hey everyone! I'm super sorry that I haven't been on in FOREVER! Well, bad news. I won't be on for over a week! No, I'm not in the hospital. Nope, the power isn't out. I'm going on a mission trip! I will be going to Tyler, Texas. I'll be working in soup kitchens with the homeless and in parks with underprivileged kids. I would totally appreciate it if you would pray for me and for the people of Tyler. I'll be gone from the 13th to the 21st and I will be keeping a journal for those days. When I get back I plan to put the journal on this blog! See you on the 22nd!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!
I hope everyone has had a great Mother's Day! I wanted to end this week with a Mother's Day lesson.
LESSON: There's not much to this lesson, it pretty much speaks for itself. But I will say a few things about mothers. Mothers are made very special. They intinctively want to care for and nuture their childern and other people. Men are important too, but cannot love, care for, and nuture like a mother can. Even women who aren't mothers can "mother" other people by loving them and caring for them. Overall, women are important, especially mothers.
Many people think that women are second, and men are first. This is NOT true!!!!! Women play just as important role as men. They are simply different from men and have different instincts. A mother is amazing to watch when she is comforting a child. She always knows just what to say or do to make that child feel better. This is a mother's gift.
Some people might have had a mother who didn't know Jesus or just wasn't very nice. If that's you, think about this. No mom is perfect. They all mess up. You didn't come FROM your mom, you came THROUGH your mom. You came FROM God. Maybe you haven't been a very good mother (or father) and you need to be forgiven so you can start over, or you need some help in making desions concerning you family or your kids. Well, that's what Jesus specializes in!!!! He will forgive you and tell you what He wants for your family!!! And all you have to do is dust off that Bible and get on your knees again (or for the first time). Maybe your a teenager and you feel like you've failed your parents because of all the bad stuff you've done. There's always forgiveness in Jesus. If you have any questions, you can comment them or you can ask your pastor or youth leader.

Vocie of the Martyrs
Hello my brothers and sisters,
I have recently discovered an amazing magazine that I would LOVE to share with you. It is called Voice of the Martyrs (VOM for short). It's a free monthly magazine that tells many stories and tell you many people from around the world you can pray for. They also have another magazine for kids called Kids of Courage. It's a quarterly magazine (also free) and has stories, recipes, fun facts, and bible verses. Though it's made for kids, I think it's great for all ages.
VOM has a store where you can order persecuted church based shirts, hoodies, bible covers, and books. They have a prisoner alert email thing where they will email you if a Christan is put in jail or freed so you can pray or even send a letter to that person.

Cool Radio Station, Website, and Band
Hi Friends!!!! I hope you all had a great day!!! Well, I want to tell you a little about this cool radio station called K-Love. It's a Christian radio station and they play awesome Christian music and it plays in every city in America too!
Also, K-Love has a website (http://www.klove.com/) that has really cool stuff on it too. It has news stories, Christan band/singer bios, a new free song to download every week, something that helps you find out what the K-Love station is in your hometown, a place where you can listen to it on the web, and TONS more. It's totally awesome. You should check it out.
While we're on the subject of Christian music, let me mention one last thing. There's a REALLY cool Christian band called the Newsboys. They are a rock band and their new CD Born Again is EPIC!!! It has a little bit of everything in it. The Newsboys are my favorite band (personally). My favorite songs are Born Again and Escape. I would totally recommend that CD.
